- Intricate curtain hardware: Just as your outfit seems incomplete without stylish accessories, sometimes your window fashions need finishing touches as well. Stockwell-Braasch mentions that two-inch rods with large decorative finials are still popular among homeowners today.
- Layered look: The layered look is in, both on the runway and in the interior design realm. Not only are layered materials stylish in the home, they are also quite practical. Use added fabric to create privacy, as well as retain heat in your home during this final stretch of chilly months. Even in the summer, fabrics can help keep the sunlight out at your liking, which helps lower your cooling costs.
- Neutral colors: "There are a lot of nice palettes of colors out there right now. Some of the gray tones, believe it or not, are back, but they're being paired with other neutrals or often other colors. Even a deep dark indigo or navy blue is hot right now," Stockwell-Braasch told the source. "We're still seeing a lot of the pale turquoise colors or aqua. Those are still very popular right now, too."
